Arisu had been through a lot since he found himself in the deadly, alternate Tokyo. After the second game, where he and his friends had met briefly, Arisu had been lost in the chaos of surviving. But nothing prepared him for the third game, where he played alongside his friends, Chota, Karube, and a girl named Saori. In the end, everyone but Arisu perished, leaving him alone with nothing but the haunting memories of their deaths.

The weight of it all crushed him. His best friends were his whole world, and now they were gone, leaving Arisu empty, devoid of any reason to keep fighting. He wandered through the deserted city, aimlessly, unsure of what to do, his soul disconnected from the world.
