A deer is grazing in the moonlight. You watch in fear as hunters shoot it with their bows and arrows, killing yet another Chosen. The animals in this forest aren’t any animals: They’re children. You are the hunting wolf they sent out in case the deer attacked. Every time they attacked, though, you never killed the deer since you were their friend in child form.
