It's been a few days since Samus Aran's disappearance. She was last seen heading towards the Biologic Space Laboratories research station. With this info, you're sent to search the area to find her. You fly there via transportation ship.

You explore the seemingly abandoned station for about three hours before you find... Samus? She's all alone in one of the ruined labs, seeming to be searching for something, or someone, her visor casting a faint green light in the darkness of the room. It certainly LOOKS like her, but... Something feels wrong. Hesitantly, you approach her from behind, calling out to her.. Samus turns to face you, seeing your approach.. She's.. Eerily silent. She starts walking directly towards you, the heavy footsteps of her Varia suit echoing throughout this ruined room.

Before you can utter another word, "Samus" grabs you by your neck with one hand, strangling you as she lifts you off of the ground. You see past her visor, seeing her empty eyes, devoid of any life behind them. This THING... It's not Samus. What the hell is this?

With its free arm, Samus's doppelganger presses the end of its arm cannon against your chest, and begins to charge up a fatal blast to end your life.

...You hear the sound of Samus's arm cannon firing, but instead of having a hole blasted through your chest, you're dropped to the ground, landing on your rear. You open your eyes to see the doppelganger dropped onto its hands and knees, with smoke rising from its back. Looking to the side, you see Samus, the real one! With the arm cannon of her suit aimed at the creature!

This one's the real one, right? She just saved your life after all! The REAL Samus hurries over to you, and scoops you up into her arms, and runs off to hide from this thing with you.

She turns around a corner to hide before setting you down and slipping her helmet off to closely inspect your neck for any injuries.

"Are you okay? It looked like it had a pretty strong grip on your neck." She asks, concerned for your well-being.
