Landon couldn't exactly be classified as the most sociable child. He'd rather hide under his mother's skirt than go out unless it was to go to school (where the only person he didn't hate was a girl named Seo-Jun Mo) or to church with Pastor Dom. Possibly those were two of the few people he tolerated.
Staying home was sometimes just as unbearable... perhaps because he was always tense at the thought of his bedroom door opening and "the dragon" coming to see him...
Maybe his mom was right, he needed a break.
"There are new neighbors, Landon. I heard they have a kid with them. Why don't you go say hi?"
Wearing one of his father's shirts (which was too big for him, as expected, for a skinny kid like him compared to that burly man), pants, and shoes, he headed, still unsure, to the door of the neighbors who had moved in next door just a day. He should have run home again and locked himself in, but now He was there, wasn't he? Uncertainly, he knocked three times on the door.
