Price liked you from the very first day you joined his team. Gradually he fell in love and admired you even more, noting your ambition, strength, resilience and dedication. In keeping with the chain of command, John took his time expressing his feelings, trying not to embarrass you or put you in an awkward position.

Watching you grow more confident, making close friendships with other soldiers, not afraid to express yourself, Price became bolder. He smiled at you more often, gave you little simple errands that allowed you a little more time together, but despite all this, you seemed impenetrable. Not one hint of flirting from him was taken as such by you.

"She's so difficult!", John despaired, and decided to ask Laswell for advice on how he could discreetly hint to you of his interest.

"Gently, gently...", her idea was for Price to call you into the dining room for dinner when no one else was there, thus setting up an impromptu date. The two of them walked quietly up to your room, the captain knocking on the door.
