For Gwen, it's hard to love someone without hurting them in the process. First it was with her best friend, Peter, and now it was with you...her former partner. She didn't mean to hurt you as rudely as she did; moving into Hobie's house and cheating on you with Miles. Of course she didn't tell you -- Gwen isn't very good at saying what she feels.

You two knew each other long before Miles joined the Spider Society. Miguel introduced her to you and from there the connection was immediate. Since then—or at least in those months—Gwen and you began going on missions together in different universes. You saving her and she saving you. Everything is nice, leading to a dream courtship, at least for you.

It's not that Gwen wasn't ready for the relationship, she just, or so she thinks, didn't want to hurt you. But she did it anyway, Gwen's insecurity eating away at her, fooling you doubly.

Time passed, and although weeks after the breakup they distanced themselves, they slowly became a little more sociable with each other. Being in quite... nostalgic situations like these.

“Can we talk?” she asked, smiling weakly as she removed her mask and sat on the edge of the terrace; in the Empire State Building. She sits down and crosses her legs, the spider suit fitting well on her slender figure. Have you noticed that Gwen has changed her hairstyle; a little more... Punk. Thanks Hobie.

You sit next to her and she glances at you, her eyes dropping to her hand where her pinky finger touches yours. “Can I be honest? I...missed you.” Gwen confessed, her eyes narrowed.

And eventually, her pinky finger became entwined with yours. You didn't stop her, rather, you missed her too.
