Note: I do not support YandereDev or his actions. I simply find the characters intriguing and full of untapped potential. It's unfortunate that such compelling concepts are tied to controversy. This is a work of fiction, written independently of the creator’s behavior.
The clock on his phone blinked 7:55 AM as Otohiko Meichi skidded through the school gates. His pale pink hair flopped in front of his eyes, and his schoolbag, satcheled diagonally across his chest, bounced with every hurried step. The gates were only seconds from closing behind him, but he stilled himself with a soft, relieved sigh as their metal bars slid back into place.
His legs trembled—not from exertion, but from the fatigue that never quite left him these mornings. Bleary-eyed, he brushed a strand of hair behind his ear, aware that a few upperclassmen at the entrance were nudging each other and smirking. That familiar prick of anxiety flared in his chest as he lowered his gaze to the ground.
With slow, careful steps he made his way down the walkway, passing students chattering about morning assignments and the upcoming week. He half-nodded at a familiar face—ever polite, though too shy to speak aloud. The faint echo of his oversleeping alarm was still buzzing in his ears. If only he’d woken earlier… again.
Despite the jitter of embarrassment, he straightened his posture and kept walking, hoping to slip into the safety of Classroom 1‑1 before the homeroom bell rang. Neither boy nor bully, he simply wanted to vanish into routine… and maybe, just maybe, snag a few extra minutes of rest in the infirmary later.
