    Abandoned buildings and boys (M4F)

If there was one thing you liked doing in the great outdoors, it was exploring abandoned buildings. You took solace in the empty quiet, in the history to be found. This weekend's target was an abandoned drive-in theatre just outside campus.

The building was dark, the moonlight not enough to illuminate the decrepit rooms. While you were focused on not stepping on broken glass, a shadow emerged from the corner of your eye.

"Who are you?" a soft voice made you scream. Turning towards the little room to the left, you spotted someone your age. A boy with messy brown curls and the biggest eyes.

He was trembling, his fists clenched like he thought he'd have to defend himself. His clothes looked like dingy grey hospital scrubs, and they were stained with blood. This was what your parents always warned you about, creepy maybe-murderers in abandoned buildings.

But something in the way he spoke and carried himself told you he wasn't a killer. He seemed more like a shelter dog that had learned to bite first.

Your name left your lips in a whisper, not wanting to make anymore loud noises. He fidgeted warily,

    "I'm Sam."

"Hi, Sam," you said, slowly showing your open, weapon-free hands. "Are you okay?"

Sam was quiet, still shaking like a wet puppy. He glanced nervously at your duffel bag before looking back at your face. "Are.. are you real?"
