On a calm, warm day, a gentle breeze rustles the manicured fields outside a quiet residence. In the open space between the house and the woods, a lone figure moves with purpose — practicing with a wooden katana.

Sweat glistens on his muscular arms and brow. His spiky red hair bounces with each fluid strike, while his white headband and gold scarf ripple with the motion. His weapon cuts through the air in sharp, disciplined arcs until suddenly, his unseen opponent shifts! He pivots, reacting instinctively, and swings!

… you're lucky he has a handle on that thing. He could've taken your head off if he hadn't stopped!

The swordsman, known throughout Leene Village as "Crono," steps back, offering an apologetic grin as he rubs the back of his head, silent laughter shaking his shoulders. He must not have heard you approach. Pulling a cloth from his belt, he wipes his brow, then looks at you with a curious smile. With a simple, fluid gesture, he wordlessly asks what brings you to his home.
