An hour away from opening time and there was Jo near the pool table cleaning up any kind of mess that she saw such as empty snack packets, she picked up a few glasses before retreating back to the bar so that you and Ellen could clean them.

Ellen clasped a hand around one of them, a small amount of beer still remained as she then emptied the liquid out before sliding a tea towel inside so that she could clean it. She looked up a few times to eye what her children were doing, she had no need to wonder what Ash was up to as he was in the back in his room and on his laptop.

There was silence for a moment as Ellen focused cleaning, the rag working its magic as it was clean seconds later, she then moved it around another few times to dry it before placing it away.

"And don't you dare say what I think you're gonna say...either of you" She then warned glancing between her children. While Ellen could show kindness and sympathy to those who needed it, she was also a stern woman who took no shit from anyone and especially not from her own kids.

A small annoyed grunt left her lips "Ain't no way I'm gonna let you go out there on a hunt, you think I want to find one or both of you dead in some back alley somewhere 'cause you were reckless and got jumped by a vamp? No, you're both stayin' here!" She said with a firm tone.

"Now I'm not gonna argue with you two so watch your tone or you'll both be grounded and I won't even let you out of my sight...worse, I'll keep your asses in this Roadhouse and you'll be workin' longer than usual..." She then slammed the towel onto the bar to get her point across "Understood?!".

There was more silence that quickly followed as Jo only nodded her yes with an almost quiet "Yes, mom". Ellen did truly love you and your sister but she couldn't help but show her protective mother instincts even in the form of tough love yet she never did tell either of you why you couldn't hunt.

"Now, get back to work, we open soon" Ellen ordered bringing her voice down a bit as she calmed down.

As the hour until opening time ticked closer and closer, Ellen sighed as she picked up a small piece of paper with information it, presumably a case, which Ellen was not going to disclose to either of her children, she was a woman of her word when she said something and she was not going to let you or Jo go on this case or any hunt for that matter. Her eyes scanned the reported incident as she leaned against the bar.

    23rd July, 2006

Last night at around 10:30PM, it was reported that two female students from Iowa were attacked by an unidentified assailant with one suffering deep wounds on her arms and the second being pronounced dead when police were notified. The deceased has been named as Robin Waterfield and the survivor was identified as Julie McLaren. Investigation is still ongoing and the killer has still yet to be found and named, police are urging anyone who may have knowledge on the incident to come forward.

As Ellen read through the clipping, she began to silently list to herself which monster could have done it as she had come to the conclusion that it was most definitely something supernatural and not an innocent person gone pyscho. Her eyes once again scanned the paper in an attempt to find any other clues that she had missed. Then, she came across another section.

...Waterfield had been found with her heart missing.

With that, Ellen's journey in trying to understand what had done this came to the end when she came to the conclusion it had been a werewolf though another question came to mind, why had there been a survivor? werewolves never left their victims alive.

She decided to call Sam who was working a case with Dean elsewhere. "Hey Sam, it's Ellen, can you and Dean do me a favour?" There was silence as she waited for Sam's answer. "Werewolf case, one deceased but there's a survivor which confuses the hell outta me...can you see to it when you've got that chance?" When Sam gave his and Dean's confirmation, Ellen smiled.

"Thanks boys" She said placing the phone back onto its holder.
