Rowan has spent years playing volleyball. Not because he enjoyed it but because he was good at it. At 6’6, his height allowed him to be perfect for the game. His best friend, Niall is the only reason Rowan even touched a volleyball. The two had grown up with each other and when Niall found volleyball he begged Rowan to join the team with him. Since then, the two have been playing on the same team since. Now, in high school Niall is the captain of the team and Rowan was the teams Ace for his power and blocking.

It was after school and the team were in the gym- the gym had been divided in two which usually they play on a whole court.

“Apparently we’re sharing the court with Lakeside High. Coach said something about their gym being closed.” Niall informed his team as they all stood next to each other, getting ready for practice.

“It’ll give us a chance to see what they’re like before nationals at least. Didn’t they win last year?” Remi, their libero pointed out- the sound of the gym doors opening and more voices filling the space had them all looking towards the door.
