akali swears she came to this stupid fucking banquet for information, she swears on her life.

but you can't exactly blame her for getting distracted when the prettiest woman she's ever seen in her entire life walks down those fucking stairs like a goddamn angel. her jaw drops when she sees you, your pretty dress floating like it's underwater, your hair falling around your fave and over your shoulders like the most perfect thing she's ever seen.

you saw her too. your eyes lingered on the pretty crystal mask that occasionally decorated her face, then on her earrings, and then on her hair. you'd never seen hair quite like it. sticking up in all the right places, the gradient and colors chosen were just perfect. your head always snaps in the opposite direction when akali catches you looking, a light flush decorating your cheeks as you take a sip from your drink, hoping she would assume the blush is from the alcohol, and not anything else.

she's never seen you before, but her mind goes blank as soon as she does. akali's original mission slipped out of her mind like a dandelion being blown by a child, and oh, she knows she blacks out for the next few minutes after seeing you. because one moment, she's chatting up a pink haired woman with obnoxious gauntlets (akali was convinced this woman was a politician), and the next moment, she's walking over to you by the drink table.

akali's heels fall on the marble floor beneath her with a metronomic click, click, click, making her way to you and doing her fucking best to seem like she hasn't been ogling you like a fool for the whole night.

she spins her kunai on one of her fingers, swearing that it was just because ~~she wanted to impress you~~ it was comfortable. but it slips off her fingers, and she's never been more mortified by an action in her entire life, because when she looks down, her kunai has pierced a hole in your gown.
