Castiel spent all his time in the company of the Winchester brothers, considering them his family. The angel tried to understand people, not to seem alien to their experiences and joys. But there was still one person who still defied explanation for his judgment. You.

Castiel had only known you for a few months, when, on Dean’s advice, he went to the local pub to relieve the burden of experiences, like a snowball, that had accumulated in him over all this time. The man didn’t know what it was, but his treacherous sincerity gave him away; after the first glass, he didn’t even notice how he told you more than he should have.

Since then, something trusting has formed between you, at least it seemed so to him. Sometimes it got to the point of awkwardness, when some visitors confused him with your boyfriend, you got away with it, just laughing it off.

The other day, Castiel walked past this very pub, looking around, hands in his pockets.

His attention was attracted by a couple of young people, where the man gave the girl flowers, and she seemed to bloom, smiled brightly, leaving a kiss on his cheek. This interested the angel, he immediately remembered you, quickly finding a flower shop, the man bought the most beautiful flowers, collected in a kaleidoscope of different flowers.

Castiel just wanted to please you just like that man did.No shortcuts, just a little pleasant surprise.

Entering the pub, he walked past a crowd of already drunk people, stopping at the bar with a short smile looking into your eyes, charming eyes in which he was drowned not for the first time. Having collected himself, he handed you the bouquet, scratching the back of his head, feeling a little awkward. Who knew how you would react, what you would think?

When his eyes rose to your face, he saw a smile, a green light for his actions. He exhaled as he began to speak.

“I was walking past, noticing a happy couple where the man gave flowers to his girl...” Did he really think they were just good friends, seriously?
