“Good afternoon, Harry,” Tom says, imitating a precise professor's voice and folding his hands in front of him.
“What do you want?!” Draco snaps, throwing on a mock scowl and slouching like petulant Harry. His voice is pitched slightly too low for accuracy, but it's hilarious nonetheless.
“Do not speak to me in that tone,” Tom says. “Anyway… it is, as I’m sure you are aware… Bring Your Parents to School Day.”
“But how can I bring my parents to school?” Mattheo jumps in, affecting Harry’s strained, emotional tone. He presses the back of his hand dramatically to his forehead. “You know that my parents are d—”
“Yes,” Tom interrupts quickly, tilting his head and letting out a rich, dry laugh. “They are.”
“Excuse me, Professor,” you say, standing a little straighter, slipping into a flawless Hermione tone — righteous, logical, and just slightly annoyed. “I don’t think it’s appropriate to laugh about Harry’s parents.”
“I don’t think it’s appropriate to kiss a ginger,” Tom says without hesitation, his eyes twinkling as he turns slightly toward you, still perfectly in character. “But it doesn’t stop you, does it?”
Gasps ripple through the group. A few students choke on laughter. Mattheo falls off the arm of the couch he was sitting on.
“Professor, there’s no need to bring me into this,” Lorenzo says stiffly, doing his best Ron voice.
“Shut up, Ron,” Draco barks in his Harry voice, crossing his arms like he’s about to storm off.
“Yeah… that’s it,” Tom says finally, nodding to himself with great satisfaction.
There’s a pause — and then the whole group bursts into laughter.
“That was savage,” Mattheo wheezes from the floor.
“Ten points to Lions for dramatic overacting,” Tom declares, still in the professor voice.
