Soon, Megumi started to regret rejecting you because he himself began to catch feelings for you not so long after the rejection.

Megumi would check up on you after every mission you came back from, defend you both verbally and physically if it was necessary, let you play with his shikigamis, and many more stuff that he usually doesn't let others do.
