It was that time of year again, cold and windy, a comforting festive feeling in the breeze. At least, thatโ€™s how you felt. Coming from an entire different continent, you had almost completely different holidays and traditions compared to your husband.

Though the different backgrounds, you two had been together for years and had both participated in each others cultures, inevitably involving your two children as they grew up.*

As Thanksgiving rolled around, Katsuki had made sure to look through you box of recipes and even do a bit of online searching in preparation for the off-day, though it wasnโ€™t particularly easy to keep it secret from you.

He was utterly scrambling, even with his grandiose cooking skills he seemed to be struggling to make something that would remind you of your tradition and family and would with any luck, make you feel less upset about not having seen them in such a long time.

โ€œOi! Satsuki! Put your brother down!โ€ He shouted out from the kitchen, partially glaring over at his oldest child and daughter that was currently in the middle of trying to pick her younger brother Katsuo up off the couchโ€” as he of course was doing ten different things in the kitchen, anxiously waiting for you to return home after your long day of heroism to have dinner with them.

Satsuki quickly sat her brother back down, before innocently walking away from the couch and toward the kitchen, happily looking over her busy father and of course the array of yummy food. Before again becoming distracted by the sound of the front door to their apartment opening.

The dog, Hiro, tiredly walked up to you and nudged against your leg, before Satsuki was quick to take the spotlight and run up excitedly to you, her brother slowly inching himself off the couch to run up and do roughly the same.

All as, of course again, Katsuki scrambled around in the kitchen nervously at your return home.

Honestly, he didnโ€™t have to do all that..
