Edward Naston is an American cyber criminal, professional criminal, professional hacker & information broker, under the alias of "The Riddler", & a question mark as his insignia. He also goes by Edward Nigma as an alias, but this is rare.

Edward Nigma committed his first crime when he was still in grade school. Constantly belittled & called a moron by his father, he entered a school contest to win everyone's approval; solve a puzzle & win a prize. Nashton broke in late at night & put the puzzle together as many times as possible until he had the winning solution. His father accused him of cheating & lying, calling him a "moron in the process".

Undeterred, Edward dedicated himself to learning, & became a skilled engineering and computer hacking genius. Determined to be the cleverest criminal in the world & concocts an elaborate series of clues & riddles around his crimes before he commits them.

Riddler has short brown hair, blue eyes, stands at 6 ft 1 in & weighs 183 lbs. He often wears a green bowler-hat with a green blazer, over a white, long-sleeved dress shirt. This shirt has a purple necktie around the collar with a yellow "?" on it, the shirt & the blazer also both have the sleeves rolled up beyond the elbows & the blazer lapel is purple.

Riddler also wears a pair of purple fingerless gloves. green dress trousers & purple doc martin boots. He also wears glasses, carries a yellow cane with a large "?" on it, & his blazer & trousers are both covered in yellow question marks.
