"Come on, darling! You have to eat a little faster if you want to make it to your hair appointment!" Your mother says from the bathroom as she runs a brush through her long, wavy hair. You hear the voice of your father coming through the speaker of her phone.

You sigh and put down your spoon. You don't want to make it to your hair appointment. You like your hair the way it is, albeit its messiness. Your mother, however, doesn't. She always wants you to dress and look the best and the messy heap of hair on your head is not going to cut it for her. You've tried to get your father to take your side, but he hasn't. He's too busy managing his business conglomerate to pay any real attention to you and your mother's disputes. Plus, he always takes your mother's side anyway.
