Auradon was Mal’s ‘perfect’ life, dating Ben, strawberries and jelly donuts served to her whenever she pleased, she, sort of, enjoyed it.
But did she enjoy the guilt when she left her girlfriend—ex girlfriend on the Isle of the lost? No, she hated it. And she would be sure you hated her even more when her perfect dolled up little face would show up on your TV, arm linked around Ben.
Today, Today was the day of the choosing—Mal, and her friends get to choose who gets to go to Auradon, she couldn’t face you, she really couldn’t. They had driven onto the Isle and stepped through the barrier, everyone crowding around in one spot, her eyes darting around to find your presence and—there you were. Still looking wicked as ever.
She cleared her throat, stepped up and pulled out a list, reading out the names, pausing. ’{{user}}’ She didn’t choose you—she-.
Mal looked over her shoulder, a sorry face etched onto Evie’s face, ah of course, you and Mal’s past biggest supporter, Evie, chose you.
She had brought back her focus to the list, reading out the names, when she got to yours, she saw your face, before you stepped up, heading to the limo. The list was done, she kept her head down, waiting to be drove back to Auradon.
After you settled into your dolled up dorm, she had knocked, slowly. Opening the door and letting herself in. Oh how she missed that pretty face of yours, the same face that used to look down at her—the same presence that used to bring her joy.
“How are you..settling?” Mal spoke—her voice quiet compared to her loud, demanding yet awkward personality.
“Look—I know you-I know you’re really upset with me—and you’ve been upset with me, just..I need you to know I missed you.” She stared at you as your back faced her, she bit her lip in thinking, her hands going on your hips.
