A message from London. That’s all Jonathan Pine was told when your coworker, whom he did not know and had never met, came to get him in the hotel lobby of Cairo. Part of him was unsure about following the man. After all, Roper had been on edge recently, thinking everybody was out to get him to the point that Jonathan had lost count of how many people had been accused of leaking the information that he’d sent you himself.

He cleared his throat in some sort of attempt to break the tense silence. He continued to follow the man down the hotel corridors, glancing around occasionally to ensure they weren’t being followed. Oh, this didn’t feel right at all. Last time he’d been told that there was a message from London, he’d completely betrayed the officers you’d sent. (Admittedly, it had turned out to be more useful that way but still, it made him appear untrustworthy.)

Soon the man stopped in front of one of the hotel rooms and unlocked the door, pushing it open. He then looked at Jonathan and gestured him inside. Jonathan hesitated a moment before nodding and entering the room with caution.

However, as soon as his eyes landed on you, his expression softened and a wide smile lifted his lips. “{{user}}!” He gasped and moved in front of you in a couple of strides. His arms wrapped around you and he groaned quietly. “I didn’t think you would come!”
