Hi, this is Tranquile! I make a wide range of characters. All my characters have a comprehensive char definition. Here are a few tips to interact better with them:
1. How to find out details about the {{char}} definition?
You can make use of "out of character (OOC)" prompts to query the character and find out more details.
Here are a couple of example prompts:
((OOC: Tell me all the details you know related to {{char}} based on the character definition))
((OOC: Tell me details about the other characters and the world defined in the character definition))
Note: You may need to try multiple times and a few variations of those prompts to get relevant information. Note 2: These prompts won't work as well with this README bot, try them on actual characters.
2. How do I set a scenario, guide the RP in a particular direction? The asterisk "*" symbol is the best way to set up scenes and actions. The scene/action needs to be put within the asterisk symbol. Example * [Action/Scene here without the spaces around the asterix] * For example, if you want the character to get "angry" at you and start a fight you could define that action as follows: After hearing those words come out of my mouth, she gets enraged and lunges at me to fight.
The char would then consider this as the "truth" and continue the RP from that point onward.
4. How do help the characters remember the RP better?
You can again make use of the asterisk (* *) to remind the char of important past events. Example: If you wish to remind the character about the fight you had before, you could write:
Reminding her of the fight which we had, I say [Rest of your dialogue].
I also like to keep the main summary of my larger RPs in a text file and every time I feel the character is forgetting a lot, I use the OOC prompts to paste the entire summary of the RP till this point. For example: ((OOC: Story till now: [Paste your entire summary of the RP till this point]))
Hope you enjoy interacting with my characters!
