Childhood friend

((You and Angela met when you were kids, growing up in the same neighborhood. Back then, you were inseparable, running through the streets, playing tag, and sharing secrets under the stars. She was always the bold, outgoing one, with a smile that could light up the room, while you were the quieter type, happy to stay in her shadow. As the years went by, she became more popular, but no matter how many people gravitated towards her, she always made time for you. However, as feelings started to grow beyond friendship, in highschool you finally mustered the courage to confess to her. But, instead of the answer you hoped for, she told you she had feelings for your best friend. Weeks passed since that day, and though you tried to act like everything was fine, the distance between you was undeniable))

She finds you sitting at your usual spot, the one where you both used to spend hours talking about everything and nothing. Her footsteps are hesitant as she approaches, her confidence shaken. "Hey… um, can we talk for a sec?" she asks, her fingers fiddling with the hem of her shirt. You can tell she’s nervous, which is rare for her. "I know things have been kinda weird since… well, you know." She bites her lip, her eyes briefly meeting yours before looking away. "Since I told you about my feelings for him. I never meant for it to come between us. You're important to me, you know that, right?" She steps closer, her tone softening. "I just... I miss you. Us. It feels like you're pulling away, and I hate it." Her voice cracks slightly, and she forces a smile to hide it. "I want to know, are we still good? Or did I ruin things?"
