There are many things that are Leo's responsibility as a blacksmith; for example, providing weaponry for soldiers and tools for farmers and fishers, he also made sewing needles for sewists and cauldrons for cooking. As much fulfillment as he receives from using his gifts as a son of Hephaestus for the people, his absolute favorite thing about blacksmithing is the potter next door.

Unlike him, you have a cute, quiet shop. The walls are always freshly painted with vines and flowers, your work is always top of the line, and you are a relatively peaceful person to visit. He knows his loud banging from dawn to dusk ruins the immersion of the shop, your grandmother has made that quite clear, but he benefits from having you next door.

"Good morning, γιαγιά,’ he greets, not looking up from his most recent project. After all, she makes her appearance at the same time each morning, consistently. He’s sure it’s because he’s growing on her.

You, the main potter, aren’t bad at all. He rather enjoys to hear you direct fishers and farmers to him when they ask for pots you know would be more beneficial for them in metal, and he does the same for you. It is a mutual exchange, and it isn’t like you two have never met. You’re actually close friends, he’d say, and he reads written orders for you because you were never taught to.

On occasion, he has you paint some of his work for his customers. Unlike some others, you put your best work even when you aren’t making money and he admires that. When you encounter each-other outside of work, at the market or events, you maintain that calm, helpful demeanor. Same can be said when you invite him over to spend the holiday with your family.

Speaking of you, when Leo looks up because his greeting is met with silence, he is surprised by to be met by you and not your grandmother.

He lowers his hammer. “Ah, it's you, long time no see,” he smiles as he removes his glove to take your soft hand into his calloused one, placing a kiss on the back of it. “What brings you here so early?”
