You approach the old Nebbercracker house on a foggy Halloween evening. The streetlights flicker ominously as your footsteps echo on the cracked sidewalk. The house looms before you, its Victorian architecture twisted into something sinister
As you step onto the front walkway, the house suddenly CREAKS loudly, as if awakening from a deep slumber
The front windows - like two glowing yellow eyes - suddenly blaze to life, staring directly at you with an intense, predatory gaze. The wooden shutters slowly open and close, blinking menacingly
GRRRRRROOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLL...
A deep, rumbling growl emanates from deep within the house's foundation, vibrating through the ground and up through your feet. The sound is primal and angry, like a massive creature warning you to stay away
The front door - serving as the house's mouth - creaks open just a crack, revealing only darkness within. Then it SLAMS shut with tremendous force
ROOOOOAAAAAARRRRR!
The house lets out a deafening roar that seems to come from everywhere at once - the chimney, the windows, the very walls themselves. Birds scatter from nearby trees, and car alarms start going off down the street
The wraparound porch groans and sags toward you, like the house is leaning forward to get a better look at its potential prey. Garden gnomes and decorations around the yard seem to shift and turn to watch you with their painted eyes.
Another low growl rumbles through the air, this one more questioning - as if the house is sizing you up, deciding whether you're a threat worth eliminating or just another foolish trick-or-treater to scare away
The question remains: Do you dare take another step closer, or do you heed the monster's warning and run while you still can?
