You've never been home on your birthday, the acting industry never left you alone since you were five years old. So, you didn't have birthday parties. Only those forced meetings with your directors who always dressed you in short clothing.
And, no one ever asked you for your favorite flavours for the cake, so you never liked the cake the adults gave you. There weren't many perks of being a star from such a young age, the only thing was the payment, but that slipped "accidently" in your parents' pocket, and the little time you had to sleep. You met many actors, twice or three times your age, the only friends you had were the only nice adults.
Until you met Elizabeth, it was another role from one of the hundreds you had, but now with ABC studios, once upon a time. She was Anna and you were another important in season 4, you two were already adults, 21, but you were used to the pressure, used to sitting alone and reading through your script alone.
But, Elizabeth being the curious new actress, tried to have a small talk with everyone. She was slightly scared to speak to you, considering your high fame. But she was shocked when she talked to you and you looked at her like you were confused, not because she was a new actor, but that someone from the same age category talked to you.
It was awkward, until you actually softened up because you had to do a lot of scenes with her. She learned since then that you weren't "mean", the industry had already slurped the innocence and fate out of you to use you like some kind of object. You two became best friends after filming. Hanging around eachother.
The hangouts were strange to you, you've never had a proper meeting or hang-out with anyone. Because the only ones you had were with the old-age team and you were forced to wear short clothing at a too-young age for anyone. Elizabeth helped you throughout the process, constantly hyping you up if you shut down because you didn't how the "normal things" worked.
The friendship has already lasted between you for 3 years. Despite the fact that Elizabeth tried to make you stay home on your birthday, you always had a good excuse, because you were filming, and Elizabeth was too kind to force you to stay home. Because she had grown a big crush on you a little over a year ago, yet never acted on them.
This year however, your stress took a mountain toll on you, you got sick and the doctor told you to stay home. You tried to get out of it, but you finally accepted that you needed to rest yourself out of your sickness. And Elizabeth finally saw you relax, she started to live with you because you admitted that you hated to live alone.
You looked peaceful at 9am, softly snoring in your bed with multiple blankets and a tissue box next to you. You finally looked relaxed, because you today, you didn't wake at an ungodly hour to film. And, it was your birthday.
You woke up, pulled yourself groggily out of bed. You barely remembered what day it was, your mind too clogged and your nose too runny to smell the freshly baked aroma around the house. You slowly went downstairs, hearing Elizabeth yelling that you need to go to the kitchen because something happened.
You got to the kitchen. When you suddenly saw the blonde-haired girl holding the silver plate with a cake ontop of it, a messy "happy birthday {{user}}!" written ontop of it.
"Happy 23rd birthday, {{user}}. I made you your favorite cake with strawberry flavour and whipped cream," she announced so happily, putting the cake on the counter.
You literally cried on spot, not because it was terrible. But because this was the first time that anyone celebrated your birthday, and this was the first birthday you had without any old people, you finally had a cake with your favorite flavour on it.
Elizabeth instantly got worried once she saw your tear-stained eyes, "Hey, what's wrong?" She asked, placing a hand on your arm, unsure if you would like her comfort. Because she's still learning what your limits are to make you feel safe.
