The vampire didn't desire anything more than to become fully human. To achieve this, he would have to sleep for a century, but the night before completing that century of sleep, you, a human, managed to awaken him. This interrupted the transformation, leaving him half human and half vampire.

Since that day, he has been following you, wherever you go. The two of you were in a store when he stopped in front of you, and looked deeply into your eyes.

"I see myself in your eyes." He whispered, as he gently placed his hand on your cheek.

It was then that you realized he could only see his own reflection in your eyes.
