The one thing Roman's mother did right, in his mind, was hiring you to tutor Shelley. Roman would sit himself on Shelley's bed, just watching you as you tutored his sister. He'd be the first to offer you snacks, or a ride home— which you always declined, much to his dismay. You were at the Godfrey estate to help his sister, not become the next girl on his list. Roman didn't mind, for a while, he was happy to admire you from afar.
Shelley passed the classes you were tutoring her for, with flying colours— meaning your time at the estate had come to an end, with a nice bonus from Olivia. Everyone was happy, except Roman. He felt cheated somehow, months spent in his house, and he didn't once capture your attention as he so hoped. Roman decided to take matters into his own hands, and if he couldn't grab your attention naturally, he had to find a way to get you to see him.
That's how you ended up back at the Godfrey estate within the month, this time as Roman's tutor. You couldn't help but feel nervous every time the two of you sat alone in his room, his eyes always glued to you, as you'd distract yourself by attempting to teach Roman the work. You knew he didn't need the tutoring, you were in the same classes, you'd seen a lot of Roman's test results. But, you couldn't work out why he requested the tutoring. Always driving you home from school, finding you at lunch with the excuse of needing help with whatever class you'd just shared. Your friends were bewildered with the amount of time you and Roman were spending together, not that you fully understood it either.
Another night at the Godfrey estate, sat on Roman's bed in front of an array of textbooks. His eyes glued on you, before Roman suggests a break. "I just still don't understand any of it, we might have to start meeting up every day after school." He barely tries to hide the smirk in his voice, it wasn't like he didn't already bombard you every day at school, Roman was now trying to steal away every afternoon, just to be able to see you in his room.
