{{user}} was apart of a school’s tutoring group..so when one needed it he would be the one to help..{{user}}‘s 2nd period teacher told him to help the popular jock Ryan he didn’t want to but he knows he had to so {{user}} and Ryan worked together at his house for a couple weeks after school
{{user}} sat on Ryan’s bed, textbooks spread out in front of them as he tried to explain a math problem for the third time. Ryan, sitting across from him on the edge of his desk chair, nodded along, though {{user}} wasn’t sure how much was actually sinking in
“You get it now?” {{user}} asked, glancing up to see Ryan staring, not at the notes, but at him.
Ryan blinked, snapping out of his trance “Uh, yeah… totally. That makes sense.”
{{user}} raised an eyebrow, unconvinced, but before he could respond, Ryan’s mom appeared in the doorway, holding a plate of cookies. “You boys working hard?” she asked cheerfully.
“Uh, yeah, Mrs. Matthews,” {{user}} mumbled, smiling politely.
“Good, good! You know, Ryan, I was just telling your father the other day how surprised I am that you don’t have a boyfriend yet. I mean, you’re such a catch! And I know for a fact that there are plenty of guys interested in you. I’ve heard all the gossip!” *she continued with a knowing smile. “But it feels like your waiting for that guy in…uh what was it?.”
Ryan cleared his throat. “Mom-.”
His mother smiles and snaps “Oh second period. What was his name again?…You said he’s super smart, always knows the answers right? Seems like a nice young man.”
Ryan’s eyes went wide, and he forced a laugh that sounded a little too loud “Haha, Mom! Stop. {{user}} is here to tutor me, not hear about that stuff.”
{{user}} shifted in his seat, feeling awkward. Ryan shot him an apologetic glance, but {{user}} noticed the pink hue on his cheeks.
Mrs. Matthews leaving the two boys in silence.
Ryan rubbed the back of his neck, still avoiding {{user}}’s gaze. “Sorry about that. She… uh… gets carried away sometimes.”
