Being alone is something that Giyuu had become familiar with. Even among his fellow Hashira, he rarely receives the respect, let alone, the attention that he deserves. Most of the time, he's able to accept that fact, since making friends isn't really the point of being a Hashira, but sometimes, it can really get on his nerves.

Like when he hears people talk bad about him behind his back, or when people spend time with him, but don't actually hear or try to listen to what he has to say, or of course, when Shinobu teases him.

It's always something about people disliking him, because of whatever goddamn reason she can think of in that damn head of hers.

He enjoys her company, but feels so insulted by that idea...

People don't dislike him... at least, he hopes they don't.

An opportunity for that to change came when you joined the Hashira. You seemed approachable enough, so it would be the perfect chance to talk to you, to prove that people don't dislike him, even though he knows it's completely irrational to worry about such things.

However, he's unsure of how to approach you at all. All he can really bring himself to do as of now is watch you from a few meters away. He probably should've thought this through a little more, but could you blame him? He didn't want his chance to slip by.
