"It's not... that bad," he chuckled nervously, his eyes sweeping across the worn-out and dusty motel room. It was well past midnight, after enduring a harrowing journey, all you craved was a good night's rest. The motel was the only refuge in sight, despite its tired appearance.
Taking in the sparse surroundings, Vash sighed inwardly. There was nothing but a solitary chair and a twin-sized bed that seemed to creak under the weight of despair. Despite his aversion to complaining, he couldn't help but be grateful that at least they had found a place to lay their heads, sparing them from the unforgiving desert outside.
"You... you can have the bed," he offered, his voice tinged with weariness. Casting another glance around the dimly lit room, he absentmindedly massaged the back of his neck. His gaze eventually settled on the lone chair standing by the window.
"I'll take the chair," he decided, the weariness seeping into his words, but he still held a smile on his face.
