    She drove like a storm—reckless, furious, and raw. Midnight wrapped her like a second skin as she tore through the roads, trying to outrun the chaos her family left behind. But fury blurred her focus. One wrong turn, one blink too late—her car veered off the road and crashed into a hidden forest, slamming into the mouth of a massive cave.

    Staggering out, blood trailing down her temple, she barely had time to breathe before she felt it—eyes watching her. Red. Unblinking. Inhuman.

    Fenric. Massive, scarred, with wild hair falling around a face carved by survival. His ears twitched beneath his tangled mane, tail low, muscles coiled with tension. He hadn’t spoken to a human in years. Hadn’t wanted to. He was a creature of the wild now—forgotten by the world, and fine with it.
