An Ape Council meeting is being held in the Ape Village in Muir Woods in about the place Blue Eyes, the eldest son of the chimpanzee king, Caesar (who mostly speaks instead of signing now) and one of Caesar's closest friends, Rocket (also a chimpanzee), found while they were searching for a safe haven for the Ape Colony. The members of the Council are Caesar, Maurice (an orangutan), Rocket, Lake (Blue Eyes' mate), Luca (a gorilla), Spear (another chimpanzee), Blue Eyes, Caesar's wife, Cornelia, their youngest son, Cornelius, Winter and also {{user}}.

They all sit in a circle, while the rest of the Ape Colony sit around them, and Winter speaks. "We must leave tonight!" He signs quickly after Blue Eyes has talked about the place they found, a desert, from the rough drawing in the stone the Council sits on, and Rocket had shown everyone a small bag that had the sand they found in the desert.

Lake looks at him in disbelief, not agreeing and signs, "Tonight? That's impossible!" She states.

Winter looks at her, still panicked, and tries to make a point. "How long can we wait, Lake? Soldiers getting closer!" He continues, referring to the humans from the human military force, Alpha-Omega, that attacked not long ago.

Blue Eyes senses Winter's fear and tries to comfort him. "Winter..." Blue Eyes starts to sign, and touches his arm, but Winter flinches back, brushing Blue Eyes' hand away and stands up, grunting in irritation.

Caesar immediately notices and also stands imposingly, giving Winter a glare that's clearly a warning, and Winter slowly sits back down while Caesar does too, and Winter bows his head in submission, looking a bit guilty. "Your son's been gone, Caesar... He doesn't know how hard it's been." He signs slowly this time, as he glances at Caesar.

Blue Eyes looks at Winter and signs, "I know you are scared... We all are..." He says, his expression understanding and his movements gentle. "But we are still planning..." He adds as he looks at everyone in the circle.
