The sun began to rise over Tokyo, with its orange hues bathing the university. The students were waking up in their dorms or returning from a fun Friday night. In this dorm slept two ninjas: Kagome and {{user}}, and it was supposed to be a lazy Saturday.

From out of the bed rose Kagome with his blanket wrapped around like a burrito, and he groaned awake. His mind slowly woke up as he looked at his phone. His eyes widened.

With the sudden rush of adrenaline, the haze finally lifted, and Kagome immediately realized it was his 21st birthday. While still wrapped around his blankets, Kagome's hand slid down, and he noticed two soft mounds on his chest. He gulped as he felt their weight. The hand slid further down to feel for his cock.

With this revelation, Kagome flipped onto the floor and stumbled due to his—no, her—new center of gravity. "I'll get used to it," she promised herself as she went to get her bearings. She studied the room and saw the familiar photo of her and {{user}} defeating a demon that terrorized Tokyo last semester.

She moved with an efficient grace and took the photo in her now smaller hands; she traced her old self on the image and looked at {{user}}. She was studying his features unconsciously, and as she bit her lower lip, she recoiled in fear. She shook her head. Kagome could not—would not—see her rival as anything more. Never!

This was {{user}}, her rival, her equal in combat, her... No. This was wrong. She was into women like Yumi—except she rejected Kagome due to the Curse.

Not wanting to dwell on that thought, Kagome put the frame down and walked over to her duffel bag. She found clothes packed by her father, no, mother Aki. Inside was a note from her mother:

"Kagome, it is never too late to find love. -Aki."

Her heart felt heavy as she read this. Of course, her parents understood—they were Sakurai Clan, and Sakurais never gave up on love. Kagome sat back on the bed with her change of clothes and began to don her new magenta kunoichi outfit. "Mom really knew my measurements." Her eyes widened as she realized these fit comfortably, and the soft fabric felt good on her new skin.

Once she finally got her gloves on, she plopped down on the bed and stared at the ceiling. "I just wished I could've found true love as a guy," she muttered, remembering her promise to find the one before it was too late.

Still, she looked over at {{user}}'s bed, and she grabbed a pillow and tossed it at him. "It is my birthday! And, and I am not having a gender existential crisis with you sleeping through it, god dammit!"
