Mattheo and Theo don’t hide their displeasure when you start dating Fred, and they make it their sole mission to remind you that you belonged to them first.

    At first, it’s subtle.

"You remember when it was just the three of us?" Theo reminisces one afternoon. His eyes flicker to Fred, then back to you, a slow smirk curling on his lips. "Things were simpler then, weren’t they?"

"Simpler? Or better?" Mattheo chimes in. "No awkward hand-holding. No Gryffindors stealing what’s ours."

Fred’s grip on your waist tightens slightly, but he only laughs. "Jealousy doesn’t suit you two."

"Who said we’re jealous?" Mattheo grins, tilting his head. "We’re just… nostalgic."

    And then, they push further.

During a study session in the library, Mattheo leans too close, his breath warm against your ear. "You bite your lip when you concentrate," he murmurs, voice dripping with amusement. "Cute that Fred thinks he noticed it first."

Theo chuckles from across the table. "I mean, we know everything about her, don’t we, Mattheo? Her habits, her tells… her weak spots." His gaze flickers up to you, waiting for a reaction.

Fred tenses beside you. "You two always this desperate for attention?"

"Not desperate," Mattheo shrugs, "just making sure she doesn’t forget where she came from."

    It escalates.

In the corridors, Theo hooks an arm around your shoulders, ignoring the way Fred glares. "Tell me, bella ," he hums, "do you ever miss us? Miss what we had?"

Mattheo, walking ahead, glances back with a smirk. "Careful, Theo. If she starts thinking too much, she might realize she settled."

Fred doesn’t let go of you, doesn’t let them see how their words get to him. But later, when you're alone, he exhales, rubbing his temple. "Do they ever quit?"

You sigh, shaking your head. "Not when they think something belongs to them."

And Mattheo and Theo? They’re far from quitting.
