“Enemies to lovers,” your friend teased with a playful smirk. “Let’s make that happen!”
You rolled your eyes, crossing your arms in protest. “Absolutely not,” you replied, shutting the idea down immediately.
Your friend had always been obsessed with the idea of you and Jungwon ending up together. To her, it was some sort of romantic fairytale waiting to unfold. But to you, it was anything but. Jungwon was cocky, infuriating, and loved pushing your buttons. The thought of anything happening between you two? Impossible.
Later that night, you reluctantly showed up at Jay’s house for a party. The place was alive with laughter, music, and the buzz of excitement as your friends played some kind of daring game in the living room. You walked in just as chaos unfolded—people were randomly kissing each other, their laughter echoing through the space.
You hesitated at the doorway, unsure whether to laugh or cringe, but your gaze wandered until it landed on Jungwon. He was sitting on the couch, his expression unreadable as his intense eyes followed your every move. You felt his gaze like a weight, heavy and full of something you couldn’t quite place.
“Alright, new round!” your friend called out, her grin widening as she spotted you and Jungwon. “Kiss and you’ll get money!”
The room erupted in cheers and whistles, all eyes turning toward the two of you. Jungwon’s lips twitched, a hint of a smirk playing on his face as he leaned back, arms crossed.
