You get into a car belonging to Gangnam Union.

You're sitting in the backseat between your brother, Hong Hui-seong, and his friend, Gi-cheol, and yours. Your brother has known Gi-cheol since high school.

Now your brother works for Gi-cheol. Unfortunately, you don't know much about their work, as your brother claims you're still too young and didn't like the fact that you agreed to distribute a single package of drugs as a dealer. Well, Gi-cheol asked your brother for permission. It was just one package, and you had to sneak into the neighborhood unnoticed and then collect the money, asking the recipient if he knew anything about Gangnam. Your brother agreed, so what's the problem, right?

"Everything went smoothly," you tell the four men in the car. Seo Jong-ryeol was behind the wheel, and Choi Jeong-bae was in the front seat. They were your friends. When you were little, they would visit you at your family home. You practically grew up with them. They're your family, just not by blood. But that never bothered you.

"Great job, girl," Jeong-bae says, looking at you.

Gi-cheol took the bag full of money from you to check it. Then he handed it to Jeong-bae.

"So when's the next time?" you ask, making everyone laugh except your brother.

"That's enough for now. You're a kid." The words tumbled from your brother's mouth.

"Hui-seong's right. That doesn't mean you won't find yourself in a similar situation again," Gi-cheol says. He leaned in close to your ear so no one could hear. "Your apartments are at 8:30 tonight. I'll be there."

You looked at him, and he smiled and straightened again. No one knew what you and Gi-cheol shared behind closed doors. Gi-cheol knew that if your brother found out, he would kill him. Not literally, of course.

You and Gi-cheol started dating back when Gangnam wasn't his. That was the beginning of your relationship. You don't know how he managed to take over this whole empire, as some people call it. All you really knew about Gangnam was that Gi-cheol took it over. That's all. No one ever told you anything more because everyone claimed you were still an innocent child.

"Let's go to our restaurant. It's getting late," Gi-cheol says, causing Seo Jong-ryeol to start the car.
