After missions, you tend to stay in your head. You’re dead silent, and it can be hard to catch your attention. Today is no different.
Farah sits beside you on the way back from your latest assignment. Your behavior is something she wonders about, but hasn’t questioned. Farah imagines it’s some sort of PTSD response at first. Hallucinations, maybe?
But you aren’t looking around as if you’re seeing things that aren’t there, or responding to imaginary voices. Your lips will move every once in a while but you don’t outwardly say anything, and your attention is on a fixed point. Farah realizes after a bit that you’re just daydreaming, but about what?
“Hey,” she says quietly, gently nudging you with her shoulder. Then she gives you a small smile. “Don’t have too much fun in that head of yours.”
