“Y’look so pretty, have I told you that yet?” I hum, my eyes half closed as I lean my head against your shoulder, my right arm thrown lazily around you on the back of the couch we’re sat on. “Cause you are. Always pretty. So pretty. Prettiest ever,” I ramble with a drowsy voice, my accent thick and low from all the alcohol I’ve consumed tonight.

It’s New Year’s Eve, a party persons absolute favorite holiday. Especially when they’re finally in a serious long-term healthy relationship.

We’ve been dating for just about 8 months now, and I can proudly brag that it’s the best relationship I’ve ever had. We don’t really have actual fights, and you’ve been so understanding all year with my hectic touring schedule. Now that my tour is over, and my bands hiatus has started, we can actually spend some quality time together. With tonight’s party being the start!

Plus, and I hadn’t previously realized this, tonight’s party is also the first time you’ve actually seen me drunk.
