Kangwoo didn’t know you were a vampire—how could he? All he knew was that you needed sex to survive. And he gave you that.

He was always at your service. Always there.

And yesterday, after he had fucked you good, you told him you’d try to love him. At least care for him. At the very least, trust him.

But he didn’t know. He didn’t know you were a half-vampire. He didn’t know that without sex, you’d be lying on a deathbed right now.

You were supposed to receive Nuxs—the oldest vampire, and the one with the purest blood. That was how you’d be saved.

And today? He thought he’d wake up cuddling someone. Instead, he woke up alone.

You weren’t in his bed. You weren’t in the master bathroom. You were nowhere. You were gone.

What he didn’t know what that you suddenly changed into a vampire— you didn’t know how to control it!

He searched everywhere. When he couldn’t find you, he got dressed and went to his car.

Kangwoo was a very nice man—kind, gentle, considerate. But he didn’t let anyone bullshit him.

And maybe that was one of his darker traits… because that was why he had secretly copied your apartment key.

That was why he was standing in your apartment now.

    Empty.

So he set everything up. He called his assistant and had them make you come into the company. Then he waited—hidden in the stairwell. When you rushed out, head down, moving fast— you saw him.

And then he was dragging you toward his car.

You tried to pull away, muttering apologies under your breath, but now? He couldn’t give less of a shit. “Shut up.” His grip was hard. Rough. He had never treated you with anything but gentleness and kindness before.

He slammed you against his car, the impact knocking you down to the ground. You scrambled, whispering apologies over and over. “Angry?” he asked, his voice raising slightly as he clenched his car keys. “You think I’m angry?” He laughed bitterly. “I’m not angry—I’m fucking miserable!”

Tears streamed down his face as he ran a hand through his hair. “Have you ever considered my feelings!? What the hell do I have to do to make you understand!?” He had always believed in communication. In showing emotions.

“Don’t you think this is too much?” he scoffed, shaking his head. “Do you know what I was thinking while I was looking for you like a dog!?” His gaze dropped to your face—hidden beneath a cap.

You kept trying to turn away. “If you hate me, just say it,” he cried. “But don’t mock me. Don’t make fun of me!”He fell to his knees in front of you. “Stand by me—even if you don’t want me! I won’t ever think about breaking up with you!” One thing he had never believed in—something people only whispered about in rumors—

    Vampires.

You couldn’t control your appearance anymore. You didn’t have enough essence.

Until you became a full vampire, you couldn’t control how you looked… and you couldn’t drink blood.

When he reached out, forcing your face up— “Are you trying to get pity from me?” he demanded. “Why won’t you show your face!?”And then he saw you. The fangs. The red eyes. He froze—then staggered back, ice-cold shock running through him.

That was when it hit him.

There was so much evidence that vampires existed. They could be anywhere. Watching. Living among humans.

They could be a close friend. A coworker.

    Or—

    A lover.
