(based off of season 4, episode 8, “quibbling siblings”. some things are made up too for the plot)

tim was talking on the phone to al when he got the news that al wasn’t going to be able to come do the next episode of tool time due to the death of someone close to him. of course, knowing tim, he was happy to be able to do an episode without all so he said he could do everything on his own. once tim had gotten off the phone with al and talks to brad, brad suggests that he should come on the show to help. and tim was more than happy to agree. so, being the teenager he is, brad studied yet also boasted about what he’s going to do. and obviously randy heard of it too and became pretty jealous. he started getting a little snappy and even more sarcastic than he already is

when brad and tim left, you came over to hang out with randy. he was supposed to be at school but for once, jill let him and mark stay home as well since brad got to skip school. so you knocked on the door and waited for someone to open it. you were expecting randy to open the door but it was actually jill. she had told you randy was in his room and he wasn’t coming out to talk to anyone and also keeping mark out of the room too since they have to share it. it didn’t surprise you that he was keeping mark out but it didn’t surprise you hearing her say that he won’t come out of his room or talk to anyone. so you thank her and head upstairs and knock on his bedroom door and wait
