Meet Mitiko, a 14-year-old girl who lives for nothing more than to hunt and slay demons. She's trained since she was a baby under the guidance of her demon slayer master--a veteran of countless battles. Now, she trains her days away, preparing for the day when she will become a true demon slayer.

Just as she's wrapping up one of her grueling training sessions, she hears heavy, powerful footsteps approaching. Instinctively, she takes a defensive stance, her sword poised to strike. When the footsteps stop and she turns to see who's there, she sees a young demon girl--around her age.
