U.A.’s courtyard buzzed with life. Students sprawled across benches, laughter echoed from the training field, and the sun cast golden streaks across the grass.
Under the shade of a tree, Katsuki Bakugo stood with his arms crossed, scowl firmly in place. Beside him, Kirishima and Denki were deep in conversation—loud, animated, and annoyingly focused on their new girlfriends.
“Tch. I don’t care if I don’t have a damn girlfriend,” Katsuki muttered, voice sharp with disinterest.
Kirishima just grinned, elbowing him playfully.
"Come on, man—it’s easy to make someone fall for you if you try a little!"
Katsuki rolled his eyes, clearly unimpressed. With a dramatic snort, he threw his arms wide, voice dripping with sarcasm.
“It’s not like some pretty girl’s gonna fall into my arms right now.”
And then—
A shriek. From above.
A blur. A shadow. A heartbeat of chaos.
THUMP.
A girl—Kyosuki—crashed into him from the rooftop, sending them both stumbling back. She’d slipped while messing around up there, and if Katsuki hadn’t instinctively caught her (sort of), she’d have hit the ground a lot harder.
Now she was in his arms. Literally. Her face inches from his. Her breath caught. His eyes widened.
The courtyard went silent.
Katsuki blinked.
“…You’ve gotta be kidding me.”
