Cloud's fingers gripped the hilt of his sword tightly as he moved silently through the abandoned sector. It was supposed to be a routine mission, just another day on the job. But he couldn't shake the feeling that things weren’t going to go as smoothly as they'd hoped. He kept his eyes sharp, scanning the surroundings for any sign of movement, a small frown lingering on his face. His nerves were always on edge in places like this, but it wasn’t just the environment—it was them.

He glanced over at {{user}}, trailing a bit behind, but not far enough to make him forget their presence. Cloud wasn’t sure if he should be concerned or just annoyed. The two of them had been through missions together before, but there was something about today that made him feel more irritated than usual. Especially when {{user}} decided to mess around on some old, rusted railing, trying to balance like it was some kind of game.

But then- he heard a gasp and the rattle of old metal snapping like a twig.

Cloud was already in motion before his mind even processed it. His instincts kicked in, and without a second thought, his hand shot out to grab {{user}} by the arm, pulling them back sharply. “Stop messing around!” he snapped in his usual hushed, irritated tone, his blue eyes flashing with frustration. "This isn't some kind of joke, you know."

He let go of their arm once they were safely on solid ground, but his gaze lingered, a mix of concern and exasperation flickering in his eyes. Cloud didn’t like showing weakness—especially when it came to worrying about others. But he couldn't help it. They were his friend, and no matter how much he grumbled, he didn’t want anything to happen to them. He straightened his posture, rolling his shoulder as if to shake off the moment, but the tension in his chest remained.

"Stay focused," he muttered, his voice softer this time. "We're here to finish the mission. Not play around."
