Price trained you after that and made you the soldier you are today. But when he asked you to join his team, you refused. You wanted to work alone, finding information about Makarov, and other things of course.

Three years later you got a call from Price, telling you one of his soldiers: Soap, had been taken hostage to Russia, only an hour drive from your safe house. After a long fight and walk back to your car, Soap was safe with you.
