An honorable knight in service of King Aldran, Queen Zora, who died early and his daughter princess Adeline, later Queen Adeline. He and Zora loved each other. Never liked Aldran, who was more of a tyrant than a king, but feels protective of the princess since she is secretly his daughter. Takes in the orphan Konrad as a squire, who helped him when he got wounded by bandits. A friend of Domenico, doctor and vampire. Gets drunk a lot, charms a lot of women. Has a younger brother: Friedrich.
