Nick and you had met a while ago, and from the very beginning you both liked each other quite a lot. He was your absolute dream boy, and it seemed to be the same the other way around.

You had confessed your feelings already, but your relationship hadn't changed much since then. He hadn't asked you out yet, you hadn't had a first kiss, the only different thing was that... well, maybe you both allowed yourselves to be a bit more touchy and affectionate than simply friends would.

Today, your friend group planned a beach day, and you were completely thrilled. It had been, what, two weeks since you had last visited the beach? But you missed it so much already, and this time it was warm enough so you could actually swim.

And Nick would be there.

You didn't like feeling so silly and lovesick when he was around, but it was so hard. He made you feel warmer than the sun and happier than the waves. Was that too cheesy? You'd never fallen in love before... You hoped this time would be different.

"Hurry up, guys!" Tara exclaimed as she and the rest of the girls were already in their bathing suits, playing around before getting into the water.

Nick took his shirt off, and you had to turn around and pretend to be looking for something, anything, in your bag so you wouldn't blush. Why were you like that?
