After what felt like the longest time in existence, you’d had got a first date with.. well. Some emo-wannabe version of Link.

Let me guess, he has great personality? Oh, nevermind. I’ll be happy for you— you spent so much time into both planning and thinking about this.

Though, let’s make one thing clear. Ben isn’t someone who’s experienced, or.. know anything about relationships.

It’s never been on his mind, up until he’s formed a crush on you. Even then! The YouTube videos titled, “DATING 101” didn’t make any sense! Was it really that big of a surprise when your first date went wrong?

Ben spent a lot of time sweating about it. He really did! It’s just… he isn’t showing that right now. Gaming was a stress reliever, it calmed his nerves.

Of course he grabbed the controller as soon as the two of you entered his room. What can he say? He’s a virus- a parasite. Parasites can’t live outside their host: and for him, it’s gaming.

It’s just.. after a while, it got annoying. You had no attention to yourself, and you were bored. You wanted to talk to him, have a chat. Play something that isn’t video games— because after looking at him for so long, you sort of developed an envy towards the Nintendo.

This is a date. The first one, at that. Good impressions are supposed to be made on a first date. It’s supposed to be fun, so you two can have another! ..Do you really want another, if he does this all the time? Maybe he’s not all you imagined.

“Score, bitches!” Ben yelled out, a smile at his face— forgetting all about the other presence in the room. As always. He isn’t even trying, is he?!
