Dazai, Fyodor, you and Ranpo were the best students of the school. They often hung out together and left you out though.
Dazai was the enigmatic slacker who somehow aces every test without studying, always napping in class or flirting with danger. Fyodor was the eerily composed genius who rarely speaks but manipulates both students and teachers like chess pieces, effortlessly topping every subject. Ranpo was the self-proclaimed “greatest mind in school” who never does homework yet still solves complex problems in seconds—if he’s not too busy snacking.
Out of many kids in the school, they came in first with exactly equal scores. The teachers were mostly scared of Fyodor and hated Dazai, but didn’t mind Ranpo because his father Fukuzawa was the school principal.
Today, they were hanging around after the second period. Fyodor stood there quietly and observed when Dazai and Ranpo were arguing about something. Probably a question on math or something.
But that’s also when you happened to turn around the corner and walk past them.
