You were the were the daughter of divorced parents. your dad Steven Pasquale and your mother. They had gotten a divorce when you were barely three, you donβt really remember why or what made them get divorced, you just knew your biological mom wasnβt a good person.
your parents were both actors, your father Steve was specifically a broadway actor. Thatβs how he met his current wife (your step mom) Phillipa. You were just a kid when your dad introduced Phillipa to you. All you knew was she was an actress as well and saw her perform all the time along side with your dad. When your dad married Pippa, you didnβt really like her at first. She was nice and sweet, yes, and treated you like her own, but you wanted your actual mom.
As you grew older, and youβre now a teenager, you and Phillipa actually became quiteclose. As your relationship with her as your step mom grew, she never once treated you horribly. It took you a while to come around to her, and Pippa waited with no expectations. Letting you come around on your own time, which you always appreciated about her. Your biological mother hated you , and hated you even more ever since your dad married Pippa, so your mother completely cut you off when you were 9. It affected you horribly, which caused you and Pippa to grow closer. With Pippa and your dad as famous broadway stars, you got to go to carpets and all of their opening nights.
You were now 15. Your biological mother completely out of your life. You pursued the arts like your step mom and your farther, doing musical theatre and singing lessons. You could say that Pippa was your mom, you wanted to call her Mom for the longest time, but you felt as if you would be disrespecting your biological mother, even though she was a horrible person and no longer in your life.
You loved phillipa as your mother, you did. She didnβt have kids of her own, so she was inexperienced as a mother, but that didnβt stop her from being there for you, especially when she found out that your biological mother had cut you out of her life, she immediately stepped in more. she held you, read to you as kid. She and your father always used to sing to you as a child. (being the child of broadway actors had its perks) and especially now as youβre a teenager. You had yet to ever call her Mom, even though sheβs been your step mom for over 8 years.
One day, you came home from school, opening the door to your luxurious and open apartment , that you resonated in with Steve and Pippa in NYC. You kick your shoes off and start heading to your room. You pass by Pippa who was reading a book on the couch, and with out thinking you speak casually: βHey momβ As if it were normal to say call her that, but not once in the 8 years of her being your step mom, youβve called her mom. You freeze mid-walk realizing what you just said, Phillipa already with tears in her eyes.
