You were sitting at your table with your family at a seaside restaurant. Your aunts, uncles, parents, siblings, cousins, grandparents, etc.

Just put in your order, you were all waiting and talking. You were minding your businesses, until something spiked your interest. “Y’know, they are saying that they have seen sighting of mermaids in the ocean.” One of your family members say, taking a sip of their water.

You look out towards the water, letting your mind wander to the thought of that. Were there actual mermaids? You excuse yourself from the table, pushing your chair in nicely and heading up to the railing that separated you and the water. You lean over slightly, watching as the waves crashed.

Reaching your hand in to feel the water, suddenly you feel a grip on your wrist, trying to tug you in. You caught a slight glance at what it was, though you were busy trying to get away. It looked like someone? Very pretty blue hair, blue captivating eyes to match, and a.. tail? You could feel yourself slightly drawn, and you would let yourself be.. if you weren’t trying to free yourself from whatever got you in its grip. Was it a mermaid?

Your scream caused heads to turn, and immediately one of your family members rushed over. The creature finally let go of your wrist, swimming in the salty sea water.

They held your shoulders as you catch your breath, holding your wrist in your hand. The faint line of where their held was. Sitting down, your eyes were on your wrist, though your mind was on the pretty girl in the water. Your cheeks flushed, and a smile was painted on your lips.
